Hamilton Kent is seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to join our team as a permanent full-time employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production and ancillary equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all equipment required for production is operational and functioning as per work orders.
- Replace or repair equipment parts as necessary to maintain production levels.
- Update the computerized work order system with completed work orders.
- Perform preventative maintenance and record data accurately.
Requirements:
- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright-433A) certification.
- Experience in maintaining industrial equipment, with a strong understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Basic knowledge of low and high voltage power systems.
- Ability to weld and modify equipment as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Complexity and Judgment:
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for industrial machinery, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, cooling, exhaust systems, pumps, presses, gearboxes, fans, tanks, conveyors, presses, and generators.
- Ability to use various machine tools, lathes, milling, fabrication, welders, presses, etc.
- Proficiency in using precision tools, laser alignment, dial indicator, etc.
- Ability to use testing equipment and techniques in predictive and preventative maintenance.
Working Conditions:
- 100% of time spent on the plant floor or in the maintenance workshop, with a requirement to stand for 100% of the day.
- Maintaining equipment, repairing breakdowns, and working on assigned improvement projects, which may involve moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding, respecting, and adhering to workplace Health & Safety rules and regulations, derived from the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
