Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Baycrest Health Sciences. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Expertise: Collaborate with Registered Nurses to deliver comprehensive, quality patient care services from admission to discharge.
  • Plan and Deliver Nursing Interventions: Develop and implement nursing plans, including medications and treatments, within the scope of practice for a Registered Practical Nurse.
  • Conduct Patient Assessments: Perform thorough assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide Client-Centred Care: Work within an interdisciplinary care team to meet the personal, activation, recreation, and spiritual needs of patients.
Requirements
  • Current Registration: Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support: Must hold a current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate, Level C - Automated External Device (AED).
  • Experience: Preference given to candidates with experience in Long-Term Care, day programs, or residents in a Long-Term Care and Community Setting.
  • Certifications: Certificate in Dementia Care, Gentle Persuasive Approach, and U-First are preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as basic computer skills, including MDS/RAI, Point Click Care, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
