About the Role:
Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Psychologist I to join our team at the Center for Excellence. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide a range of standard level psychology services to patients and their families within the established standards, directives, and policies for the work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological screening and/or assessment, diagnosis, interventions, rehabilitation, prevention, and promotion services to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals in planning and implementing services that align with best practices and ethical and professional standards.
- Provide input to the interprofessional team related to psychological factors, barriers, and dynamics that influence client treatment planning, participation, outcomes, and team functioning.
- Consult and collaborate with teams and community services.
- Provide supervision to psychometrists, provisional psychologists, and/or masters-level psychology students.
- Contribute to program, policy, and/or procedure development and participate in formal research initiatives.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program.
- Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
- Five years post-graduate experience working with children, youth, and families with complex needs required.
