Director of Education

Nexgen HR Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Education to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational landscape of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement education programs that meet the needs of our community, including K-12, adult training, and daycare development activities.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs to ensure maximum benefit to the community, employees, and the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify education needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Manage fiscal resources, including budgeting and reporting, to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest education trends, technologies, and best practices to inform program development and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education or Master of Education degree.
  • At least 5 years of management experience in education, including 3 years of classroom experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of First Nations K-12, post-secondary, and adult education, as well as First Nations issues in British Columbia.
  • Ability to plan and implement instructional programs and relate to students of various ages and cognitive abilities.
  • Experience in education administration, including knowledge of principles, techniques, and training methods used in education from preschool to grade 12.
  • Proficiency in using computers and related software applications, learning technology software, and other tools.
