Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and external stakeholders.
  • Offer strategic insights and guidance to recruitment teams.
  • Oversee the complete recruitment cycle from start to finish.
  • Post job openings, evaluate resumes, and conduct interviews.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates while developing talent pools.
  • Participate in recruitment events and networking opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements throughout the hiring process.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a recruitment role, preferably as a Talent Acquisition Specialist.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment methodologies and candidate evaluation techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
  • Experience in a unionized setting is considered an asset.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid work model based at our Ottawa Head Office.
  • Travel may be required for job fairs and networking events.
