Your Role

This position reports to an Engineering Manager or Technical Manager and works within an agile team alongside other developers and testers to achieve the Magnet Forensics mission.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement robust test strategies and create innovative exploratory testing approaches.
  2. Determine suitable testing areas and coverage to ensure comprehensive testing.
  3. Create, execute, and manage test plans, including both automated and manual tests, to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  4. Design and implement testing tools and environments required to execute testing effectively and efficiently.
  5. Deploy and operate software, including production environments, to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who checks off most of the following requirements:

  1. Senior student enrolled in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related program.
  2. Experience with test automation and scripting is an asset.
  3. Experience with two or more of the following:
  • Test automation
  • Manual / Smoke / Regression / Behavioural testing
  • Performance testing and optimization
  • Reverse engineering
  • Distributed system testing
  • Security testing
  • CI/CD
  • Operating systems (at an advanced level) – Windows / Linux / Mac
  • Networking
