Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at 97 Motor Inn. As an Assistant Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and train staff to meet the hotel's operational needs.
  • Supervision and Performance Management: Supervise and manage a team of 5-10 staff members, conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback to improve performance.
  • Client Relations: Negotiate with clients for the use of hotel facilities, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Maintenance and Facilities: Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring that the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and up-to-date.
  • Policies and Procedures: Enforce hotel policies and procedures, ensuring that all staff members are aware of and adhere to them.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that all guests receive excellent service.
  • Special Needs: Assist clients/guests with special needs, providing personalized support and services.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules for staff members, ensuring that all shifts are covered and that staff are able to meet their operational responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in hotel operations or a related field.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Outlook.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, a client-focused approach, and a team player attitude.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a non-smoking, air-conditioned environment, with a budgetary responsibility of $0 - $100,000. The work setting is a hotel, motel, or resort, with a 40-hour workweek and a permanent work term.
