We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Corporate Finance team - Financial Policies Group as a Director of Corporate Financial Policies. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting Intact Financial Corporation's strategic initiatives through accounting advisory services for complex transactions and staying at the forefront of the latest developments in IFRS.

  • **Key Responsibilities:**
  • Play a key role as a subject matter expert in strategic transformation projects in the finance function, providing guidance and support to senior leaders.
  • Become an expert in IFRS accounting policies for IFC, including but not limited to IFRS 17, and stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory changes.
  • Advise senior leaders on the appropriate application of IFC's accounting policies in complex transactions, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance of each reporting segment with IFC's accounting positions on a recurring basis and coordinate exchanges with external auditors.
  • Assist in optimizing and implementing financial systems and processes to ensure compliance with changes in IFRS standards.
  • Contribute to training various departments on IFC's accounting policies and act as a point of contact for different stakeholders.
  • Assist team members with various ad-hoc projects related to accounting policies.
  • Experience in researching, analyzing, and implementing accounting standards changes.
  • **Requirements:**
  • Bilingualism (French/English).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
