Job Title: Health Care Aide - Permanent Evenings

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Practice:
    • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
    • Provide skin, hair, nail, and dental hygiene.
    • Monitor residents' skin for breakdown and report concerns to the nurse.
  • Resident Care / Management:
    • Prioritize care based on residents' needs.
    • Organize daily workload to accomplish tasks within a reasonable timeframe.
    • Report changes in resident health status to the unit nurse.
  • Other:
    • Perform assigned clerical duties, answer telephones.
    • Work in accordance with Pan Am Clinic and departmental policies and standards.
Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate required or completed two years of accepted registered nursing education program.
  • Experience:
    • One year previous experience as a Health Care Aide preferred.
    • Experience in personal care home setting preferred.
  • Personal:
    • Able to carry out duties in a professional manner, working under minimum or no supervision, and in compliance with confidentiality of Pan Am Clinic and its residents.
    • Physical and mental health to meet the requirements of the position.
    • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend fluent English is required.
