ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client, a well-established manufacturing firm, has been operational for over a decade and is currently in search of a skilled accountant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the Financial Controller will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements.
- Management of the month-end closing process and completion of monthly financial workbooks.
- Oversight of payroll, inventory management, and monthly cycle counts.
- Review and management of all journal entries and transactions recorded in the general ledger.
- Conducting financial analyses and providing insights into variances.
- Assisting with the annual budgeting process.
- Collaborating with external auditors during the year-end audit.
- Documenting all accounting processes and implementing improvements.
- Supporting ERP enhancement projects and assisting with control implementations.
- Managing day-to-day cash flow and participating in ad hoc projects as required.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold a CPA designation.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting is preferred.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous.
- Position requires in-office work 5 days a week.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary range: $100,000 to $130,000.
- Discretionary bonus structure.
