Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at O/A Petro Canada/A&W Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of food service staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Operations and Administration: Establish methods to meet work schedules, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports.
  • Staff Management: Hire food service staff, establish work schedules, and ensure that staff are working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk. The ability to work in a physically demanding environment is essential.
