About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Long Wheels Solutions Limited. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and handled.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure that it is in good working order.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure the vehicle is running efficiently.
  • Transporting Hazardous Materials: Transport and handle hazardous materials safely and in compliance with all regulations.
