About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunication Design Lead to join our team at Aecon Concessions. As a key member of our CAD/GIS team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and drafting of overhead and underground telecommunication systems for our utility clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of CAD drafters and GIS specialists in the design and drafting of telecommunication systems
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal construction forces
  • Oversee the quality control of drawings and documents in Network x / GCOMM environment
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of documents and records
  • Attend to customer concerns and monitor project changes
  • Forecast project workload and ensure proper staffing
  • Accountable for project deliverables and financial performance
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality project delivery
  • Train and mentor staff on technical guidance and project management
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in telecommunication and/or electrical distribution design
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and MS Access
  • Understanding of current best-practice project management techniques
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
