Position Overview:
As a Junior CAD Technician, you will be an integral member of our engineering and design team, assisting in the development and modification of technical drawings and plans using CAD software. Your role will involve working closely with experienced technicians and engineers to create precise and detailed drawings that comply with project specifications and standards. This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth within the CAD design field.
Qualifications:
- A technical degree or diploma from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in an engineering firm within the oil and gas or energy sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with site and/or shop environments in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to field locations as necessary.
- Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while being adaptable to varying schedules.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to take guidance from senior designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Plot Plans, PFDs, P&IDs, piping plans and details, isometrics, material takeoffs, and tie-in details in accordance with engineering specifications and client needs under the supervision of senior designers.
- Exhibit proficiency in creating and updating P&IDs.
- Ensure drafting quality control and collaborate with other disciplines.
- Stay informed about industry trends, software advancements, and internal processes.
- Participate in special projects, such as the development of internal drafting standards as assigned.
