We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team at Hi-Quality Homes Inc. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for projects.
- Site Preparation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Construction: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Installation and Finishing: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Project Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, survey building locations, and levels.
- Supervision and Training: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
- Equipment and Machinery Operation: Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry.
- Work Environment: Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
- Work Setting: Construction, renovation, commercial, and residential settings.
- Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in physically demanding conditions.
