Skilled Carpenter for Residential and Commercial Projects

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at Hi-Quality Homes Inc. The successful candidate will have experience in residential and commercial construction, with a strong focus on technical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
- Survey building locations and levels
- Instruct apprentices
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- 1 to 2 years of experience in carpentry
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments
- Strong physical capabilities, including bending, crouching, kneeling and handling heavy loads
- Excellent judgement and team player skills
- Punctuality and ability to work with minimal supervision
