Skilled Carpenter for Residential and Commercial Projects

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at Hi-Quality Homes Inc. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
- Survey building locations and levels
- Instruct apprentices
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
As a carpenter at Hi-Quality Homes Inc, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions, and outdoors.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Or equivalent experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong physical capabilities, including bending, crouching, and handling heavy loads
