Position Overview

The Senior Analyst within the Controls and Information Communication division plays a pivotal role in the financial information dissemination processes associated with CPP Investments' quarterly release of consolidated financial statements. This role encompasses the preparation and coordination of financial statements, the execution of accounting standards, internal controls validation, and assisting the audit committee to ensure compliance with optimal practices in financial governance. The ideal candidate will possess experience in financial consolidation, effective communication, and a robust analytical skill set. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, adhering to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to guarantee timely and precise financial reporting, and facilitate the introduction of new investment products.
  • Spearhead initiatives to standardize and automate financial reporting procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial processes and controls, and manage special projects as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional accounting designation (CA or CPA) or progress towards CFA is advantageous.
  • Three to five years of experience in financial reporting, ideally within investment management or financial services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of fostering effective working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficient time management capabilities.
  • High motivation and readiness to assume responsibilities in a performance-driven culture.
