Position Overview

The role of a Cashier at Zee Liquor Ltd. involves managing transactions and providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment.

Educational Requirements

This position is set within a vibrant retail atmosphere, where customer interaction is key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the cash register efficiently.
  • Process various forms of payment including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
  • Scan merchandise accurately.
  • Calculate and confirm total payments for goods or services.
  • Receive payments and ensure proper handling of cash.
  • Reconcile daily sales with payments received.
  • Engage in suggestive selling to enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain organized shelves and a clean checkout area.
  • Welcome customers and assist them with inquiries.
  • Wrap or package purchased items appropriately.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
  • Monitor store entrances and exits, verifying proof of payment when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with age restrictions for selling regulated products.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in using electronic cash registers.
  • Familiarity with Interac payment systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working under pressure.
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
