Senior Manager, Software Development

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative problem solver to join our team as a Senior Manager in Software Development. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for delivering experiences and platform capabilities with Engineering and Operational Excellence, leading to outstanding outcomes for customers, employees, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and nurture a team of high-performing engineers with a focus on business delivery and talent growth.
  • Embrace new ideas that produce outstanding results for our customers.
  • Effectively resource plan and forecast deliverables based on product, team, and broader company needs.
  • Help bring out the best ideas from the team by empowering them and leading by example.
  • Create shared vision and build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships/alignment with partners across the business.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Experienced as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven software products.
  • Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams.
  • Adept at articulating the product vision and driving the future roadmap with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders.
  • Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with a minimum of 8-12 years of hands-on software development experience ideally in product or platform environments.
  • Experience with Agile development and methodologies and SaaS and/or mobile technologies.
  • Proven experience with an automation mindset and a DevOps culture.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker who is hypothesis driven and uses data, judgment & pattern recognition to learn and move quickly.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing scalable consumer-facing SaaS software using modern, open stack technologies.
  • Ability to lead complex change in an organization by articulating a clear case for change and then gaining shared vision with employees through effective, frequent, and timely communication.
