About the Role

As an Intermediate Mine Planner at Newmont Goldcorp Canada, you will play a critical role in supporting the engineering senior leadership, midterm planning, operations planning, and mine planning teams. Your expertise will be essential in providing detailed economic tradeoff studies to evaluate short and medium-term resource and mining method business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough economic analyses to inform short and medium-term resource and mining method decisions.
  • Investigate and resolve operational bottlenecks and constraints to optimize mine performance.
  • Support short, medium, and long-term scheduling teams with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Collaborate with the mine planning team to design, conceptualize, and reconcile mine plans as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Proficiency in mine planning computer software, including Deswik and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced and high-pressure production-oriented setting.
Working Conditions

Work Schedule: 14 on, 14 days off, working 12-hour days.
