About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team at Blue Rose Construction Ltd. As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Measurement: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project requirements.
  • Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a sturdy and secure structure.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the construction project.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Site Conditions: Work at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy environments, and in dusty conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week with permanent employment.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
