Architectural Technologist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technologist to join our team at Zeidler Partnership Architects. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to team members in the production of all aspects of a project, from schematic design to construction administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and communicate current project status to the Partner in Charge/Project Manager at regular intervals
  • Work with the team to ensure project success as measured by client satisfaction, work quality, profitability, and fostering team professionalism and collaboration
  • Develop detailed design concepts and translate them into design development documents
  • Actively participate in the preparation of drawing packages for various permit submissions and/or construction
  • Coordinate consultant teams and liaise with clients and Approving Authorities
  • Prepare project code analysis and review drawings for Building Science accuracy, consultant coordination, and compliance with local Building Codes and City Bylaw requirements prior to submissions
  • Lead product research, including building components and systems, and attend site meetings, complete shop drawing review, and provide contract administration support as required
Requirements
  • Architectural Technologist Diploma or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • 2-10+ years related experience as an Architectural Technologist
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential, with proficiency in Revisto, Bluebeam, Sketchup, and Navisworks considered an asset
  • Strong conceptual and design skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional interpersonal skills
