Director, Investment Banking - Telecom, Media, Technology and Healthcare

Scotiabank is seeking a seasoned Director, Investment Banking to lead our Telecom, Media, Technology and Healthcare (TMTH) team. As a key member of our Global Banking and Markets division, you will be responsible for driving business development and executing merger and acquisition advisory and equity financing mandates in the TMTH sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and revenue in the TMTH sectors.
  • Lead and manage a team of investment banking professionals to deliver high-quality transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders in the TMTH sectors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff to develop their skills and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Director, Investment Banking capacity.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and/or independently.
  • Creative thinker capable of identifying potential opportunities and capitalizing on them.

Work Arrangement:

This position is largely an onsite role, with the expectation that you will work 4-5 days a week in the office. Domestic travel may be required for up to 20% of your role.
