Job Summary

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant to provide overnight companionship and support to seniors in their homes or long-term care facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, including engaging in conversation, reading, and other activities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer needs
  • Monitor and report any changes in client's physical, emotional, or environmental condition
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care

Requirements

  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including standing, bending, and lifting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid First Aid and Level C CPR certification
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check and updated TB Test
