The successful candidate will be responsible for championing internal control in Canada, collaborating with business process owners to mitigate risk, and embedding controls within existing operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risk and develop controls that can be embedded into local processes
  • Plan, coordinate, and administer the annual Internal Control Self-Assessment process
  • Review and analyze results of the Control Self-Assessment and Internal Audit to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Draw conclusions and report on results with a focus on risk exposure and continuous improvement
  • Consult with businesses in Canada on open action plans, providing training and resources to achieve compliance
  • Summarize and present action plan completion progress to all levels of management
  • Create and provide Internal Control related training across Canada
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business-related field
  • At least 7+ years of experience in internal and/or external audit, including experience with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and related controls design, implementation, and testing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Fast learner, objective, straightforward, eager, enthusiastic, and motivated
