About the RoleThis part-time position involves providing personal care to children, including toileting, first aid, and administering medication. You'll also be responsible for actively engaging with children, ensuring their safety and supervision in a group setting, and planning and implementing play-based learning in accordance with our curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care to children, including toileting, first aid, and administering medication
- Actively engage with children and ensure their safety and supervision in a group setting
- Plan and implement play-based learning in accordance with our curriculum
- Ensure positive, professional communication with families, staff, and volunteers
- Provide an inclusive environment, supporting the needs of all children
- Adhere to work schedule and provide adequate notice for scheduling changes
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
- Up-to-date immunizations
- Availability requirements: minimum of 2 full days per week or 2 mornings and 2 afternoons
- Early Childhood Education Diploma
- Registered Early Childhood Educator
