About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wellbeing and Rewards Strategist to join our team at Securian Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our employee experience by developing and implementing wellbeing programs and reward strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Management: Partner with our Manager, Wellbeing and Rewards to design and manage innovative wellbeing programs that promote physical, mental, and financial health, including annual salary review, incentive plans, market data reviews, job evaluation, wellbeing benefits, disability management, and group RRSP.
  • Reward and Recognition: Assist with reward and recognition programs that drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze data related to wellbeing and rewards programs, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Culture and Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams to foster a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and engagement.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure our programs are competitive and effective.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure the success of wellbeing and rewards initiatives.
  • Communication and Reporting: Produce clear and engaging communications to promote program awareness and participation, and prepare regular reports on program performance and employee participation.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to source and manage wellbeing and rewards services.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure all programs comply with relevant legislation and support our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in wellbeing, compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs, best practices, and applicable employment legislation, preferably in an insurance or digital-first company.
  • Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze data and present insights in a digestible format, advanced proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet, and HRIS systems, excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload, strong problem-solving skills and research skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Drive and Culture: Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving, commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace, passion for promoting employee wellbeing and engagement, exercise confidentiality, discretion, sound judgement, ability to communicate with all levels within the organization and external parties, professional, collaborative, detail-oriented, accountable, and takes initiative.
