About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at A-1 Care Home Inc. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our healthcare institution.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Bed Making and Linen Management: Make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries.
  • Disinfection and Sanitation: Disinfect operating rooms and other areas, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Additional Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Healthcare institution, facility, or clinic.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Initiative, organized, reliability, team player, honesty.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
