Are you dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a registered Social Worker eager to leverage their expertise in a vibrant and supportive environment within our Primary Care division.

In alignment with Northern Health's vision for an integrated system of services, the Primary Care Social Worker collaborates with an interprofessional team to deliver comprehensive assessments, care planning, and interventions tailored to individuals and their families.

By working in partnership with other healthcare professionals, the Social Worker provides direct psychosocial support, counseling, group facilitation, system navigation, advocacy, education, and connections to relevant specialized or community resources, all while promoting client self-management.

The Social Worker plays a crucial role in delivering social work services aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities.


Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day shifts - 08:00 to 16:00

Updated Compensation :
As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is: $52.81/hour

Primary and Community Care

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Two years of recent relevant experience in a healthcare setting, or a combination of related education, training, and experience.
  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
  • Valid BC driver's license.

Communication: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with clients and their families, as well as with the public, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Skilled in resolving interpersonal conflicts.

Analytical Thinking: Exhibits problem-solving skills demonstrating critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
