Job Title: Assistant Professor of Networking and IT Security
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Networking and IT Security to join our faculty at Ontario Tech University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in networking and IT security, as well as contributing to the development of our programs in this area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and develop courses in networking and IT security at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Contribute to the development of our programs in networking and IT security
- Supervise and mentor students in research projects and academic pursuits
- Participate in departmental and university service activities
- Stay current with developments in the field of networking and IT security and apply this knowledge in teaching and research
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field
- Industry experience in networking and IT security
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with curriculum development and program management
- Experience with teaching online and hybrid courses
- Experience with research and publication in the field of networking and IT security
