Job Opportunity: Assistant Teaching Professor in Accounting

Ontario Tech University is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Assistant Teaching Professor in Accounting. This is a full-time, tenure-track appointment that will commence on July 1, 2024.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, including financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, auditing, and financial statement analysis.
  • Develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and evaluation methods.
  • Supervise teaching assistants and contribute to departmental service activities.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field.
  • Canadian CPA designation.
  • Experience in teaching accounting courses at the post-secondary level.
  • Strong research and publication record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in teaching with cases.
  • Ability to integrate technology into teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
