We are seeking an experienced leader in the field of Environmental Engineering to take on a pivotal role within our Contaminated Sites Investigation and Remediation division. The ideal candidate will possess a professional designation and have a wealth of experience, ideally between 10 to 15 years, focused on contaminated site assessment and remediation, along with a background in project management and team leadership. Key Responsibilities

  1. Prioritize Health & Safety in all aspects of work, reflecting our core values.
  2. Lead the Whitehorse team in securing projects, overseeing planning and execution of contaminated site projects, primarily in the Yukon and British Columbia, across various sectors such as mining, oil and gas, transportation, and governmental bodies.
  3. Utilize your diverse fieldwork and project management experience to mentor and develop team members.
  4. Manage projects from inception to completion, including proposal development, contract negotiations, project execution, financial oversight, and client relationship management to ensure all deliverables align with client expectations regarding scope, budget, timeline, and quality.
  5. Act as a mentor, providing technical guidance and support to nurture the growth of the talented team.

Qualifications

  1. A relevant undergraduate degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geoscience, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  2. A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Environmental Consulting, holding an appropriate professional designation in Engineering, Geoscience, Biology, or a related discipline.
  3. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively to achieve consensus and resolve conflicts.
  4. Experience in providing technical advice and conducting senior reviews of project deliverables.
  5. Proven leadership capabilities in managing a team of professionals, with excellent communication skills for both internal collaboration and external client interactions.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside the technical writing proficiency necessary for client deliverables.
  7. A clean Driver's Abstract and a willingness to travel as required for project assignments.
