Position Overview:

The Event Coordination Specialist will be instrumental in assisting the Manager of Signature and Special Events with logistical arrangements to meet revenue and participation objectives. This role requires collaboration with vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and participants to ensure the effective execution of fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising events to achieve or surpass yearly targets
  • Identify and optimize opportunities for revenue generation during events
  • Oversee local Special Events coordination
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies for events and partnerships
  • Manage event-related administration, including databases and financial reporting

Qualifications:

  • Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience
  • 1-2 years of pertinent work experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Background in fundraising, event management, or marketing
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and technologies
