Job Summary

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings in communities across Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide diabetes management, dialysis, medication management, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care services to clients
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Conduct home visits to assess client needs and provide medical care
  • Document client information and care provided in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice
  • Experience in community health an asset
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
