Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Villa Colombo Senior Centre (Vaughan Inc). This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our elderly residents.

Qualifications

Education:

  • College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Work Environment
  • Nursing home/home for the aged
  • Retirement home
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document patient symptoms and changes in health status
  • Evaluate patients to determine suitable nursing interventions
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary health team to develop, implement, coordinate, and assess patient care in consultation with patients and their families
  • Conduct health screenings
  • Provide health education initiatives
  • Administer immunization programs
  • Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Engage in nursing-related research activities
  • Manage home care cases
  • Operate or supervise medical equipment
  • Deliver nursing care
  • Oversee licensed practical nurses and other nursing personnel
Supervision

Supervise 1 to 2 staff members.

Certifications Required
  • CPR Certificate
  • Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the province/territory of work
  • First Aid Certificate
