Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Fort Nelson Health Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing assessments, planning, implementing, and providing personal and nursing care to clients. You will also administer medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform assessments, plan, implement, and provide personal and nursing care to clients
  • Administer oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
Requirements:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant
  • One (1) year of recent, related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Current valid BC Driver's License
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills within a specific clinical specialty or patient population dependent on the nature of the caseload
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
