Northern Health Authority seeks a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Fort Nelson General Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Unit/Program Manager, the LPN will perform assessments, plan and provide personal care, and perform nursing procedures in accordance with the competency guidelines and scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and according to agency operating policies and standards and unit specific protocols.
Benefits:
In addition to a competitive hourly wage, the successful candidate will enjoy comprehensive benefit packages, including MSP, extended health/dental, and a municipal pension plan for part-time and full-time employees. Casuals have the option of paying for benefits. The position also offers four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service, financial support for moving expenses, employee referral program, employer-paid training and leadership development opportunities, and spectacular outdoor activities and the shortest commutes in BC.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with residents, families, co-workers, members of the multidisciplinary team, and the public. The ideal candidate will also be able to deal with others effectively, organize work, and implement a plan of care, operate related equipment, and possess the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
