We're seeking a skilled Broadcast Editor to join our dynamic team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for editing content for CityNews using the Grass Valley Edit System. Your expertise in non-linear editing and 5.1 audio will be essential in delivering high-quality content to our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Non-linear editing of content for CityNews
  • Work with 5.1 audio
  • Collaborate with outside clients within the Rogers group of companies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work weekends and shifts as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a broadcast environment, preferably in a newsroom environment
  • Experience in non-linear based editing
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere
  • Understanding of 5.1 audio
  • Strong technical skills and ability to adapt to new workflows
  • Local news knowledge an asset
  • Ability to work well in high-stress environments and meet tight deadlines
  • Valid driver's license required
