Avondale Construction Ltd Atlantic is looking for motivated individuals to fill the role of Project Coordinator Interns. As integral members of our team, Project Coordinators assist the Project Manager and/or Site Superintendent in overseeing the execution of construction projects. We seek candidates who are eager to take on challenges, embrace responsibility, and pursue professional growth.
Key Responsibilities of a Project Coordinator Intern:
- Manage and distribute change orders, directives, requests for information, and site instructions.
- Provide essential site information and inspection reports to the Safety and Project Managers.
- Organize site coordination meetings and accurately capture and distribute meeting minutes.
- Track shop drawing submissions and maintain relevant logs.
- Oversee site-specific deliverables and tracking logs.
- Facilitate the timely acquisition of information and deliverables from consultants, subcontractors, and project owners.
- Assist in administering deficiency punch lists alongside the Site Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Ensure that Superintendents have access to the most current information, including binders, logs, and shop drawings.
- Provide support to the Superintendent and Project Manager as needed.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree or diploma in civil engineering or architectural technology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with FTP sites and other file-sharing platforms is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, enabling effective multitasking and adherence to deadlines.
- A collaborative team player who contributes positively and efficiently to group efforts.
