Position Overview

The role of a Meat Processing Specialist involves a variety of essential tasks aimed at ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our esteemed establishment.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment

This position is situated within a large-scale hospitality setting, such as a restaurant or hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare meats for processing by cleaning and organizing.
  • Execute precise cuts, trims, and preparations of standard meat portions.
  • Wrap and package meats for storage and sale.
  • Remove bones from various types of meat.
  • Portion poultry into appropriate cuts.
  • Prepare and clean fish and shellfish for culinary use.
  • Cut fish into steaks and fillets for menu offerings.
  • Grind various meats as required.
  • Slice cooked meats for serving.
  • Handle special meat orders as requested.
  • Shape, lace, and tie roasts, along with other meats, poultry, and seafood.
Experience Requirements
  • Prior experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • Employment duration is permanent.
  • Work language is English.
  • Standard working hours are 40 hours per week.
