Senior Data Analyst

At Aviva, we're committed to delivering exceptional results through data-driven insights. As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth by providing actionable data analysis and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Data Analysis and Insights: Transform complex data sets into actionable conclusions and recommendations, driving proactive analysis and advising decision-making.
  2. Machine Learning and Statistical Approaches: Develop innovative solutions for pattern recognition using machine learning and statistical approaches, driving business value through data-driven insights.
  3. Data Mining and Reporting: Maintain a growing set of data mining tools, frameworks, and approaches, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to support business decisions.
  4. Project Coordination and Delivery: Drive coordination and delivery accountability of projects and business-as-usual (BAU) delivery, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
  5. Compliance and Standards: Ensure conformance and alignment to IT/Enterprise Architecture standards and corporate-wide data standards, maintaining the highest level of data quality and integrity.
Requirements:
  1. Education: A university degree in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, physics, or a related field.
  2. Technical Skills: Experience in SAS, Python, or R, with a good grasp of software engineering standard methodologies, such as code reusability, modularity, and use of repositories.
  3. Claims Experience: CIP or other claims professional qualification an asset, with experience working in a claims operational environment, applying MI to drive continuous claims performance improvement.
  4. Project Management: Strong project management skills and experience, with the ability to work in a matrix and/or complex partner environment.
  5. Communication: Experience and credibility working with senior executives, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
