Job Summary:

The Bouchier Group is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including loaders, dozers, graders, excavators, skid steers, rock trucks, and packers.
  • Clean, maintain, and secure all equipment as directed by legislation and company policies.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as greasing equipment and ensuring proper safety equipment is in place.
  • Read, countersign, and enter comments into daily operator logbook.
  • Complete and document pre-operational checks on assigned equipment.
  • Participate in Job Hazard Assessments, Field Level Risk Assessments, and line-up meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervision and Site Manager.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of equipment experience on loaders, dozers, graders, excavators, skid steers, rock trucks, and packers.
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver's License.
  • Clean 5-year Driver's Abstract obtained within 30 days of starting work.
  • One of the following basic Safety Orientations: CSTS09, OSSA Regional Orientation, OSSA BSO, or CSO.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Safety conscious attitude.
  • Ability to work in fluctuating climates and environmental conditions.
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test and Fit for Duty test.

  • WHMIS 2015 Certification.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification.
  • Ground Disturbance Certification.
  • OSSA Confined Space Entry and Monitor Certification.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • H2S Alive Certification.
