Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Bouchier. As a key member of our road maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including loaders, dozers, graders, excavators, skid steers, rock trucks, and packers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and secured at the end of each shift.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a road maintenance setting.
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver's License.
  • Clean 5-year Driver's Abstract.
  • Basic Safety Orientation (CSTS09, OSSA Regional Orientation, or OSSA BSO).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Safety-conscious attitude.
  • Ability to work in fluctuating climates and environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • WHMIS 2015 Certification.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification.
  • Ground Disturbance Certification.
  • OSSA Confined Space Entry and Monitor Certification.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • H2S Alive Certification.
