About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at R.A.M CONTRACTING LTD. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth and even finish.
  • Preparation and Planning: Prepare tenders and quotations to ensure accurate estimates and timelines.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Work at Heights: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Tool Operation: Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices and techniques.
  • Installation and Repair: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Quality Control: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding work environment with exposure to dust, heights, cold, and hot temperatures.
  • Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in concrete finishing.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
