As a key member of our Mental Health and Addictions Promotion & Prevention Team, you will play a critical role in developing, coordinating, and implementing specialized mental health promotion, suicide prevention, and life promotion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess community needs and research appropriate initiatives to promote mental health and prevent suicide.
- Develop and implement programming to enhance population health outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote best practices in suicide prevention and facilitate the development of local and regional partnerships/networks.
- Lead awareness, education, and training initiatives to promote mental health and prevent suicide.
- Work with the Department of Health and Community Services and counterparts in other NLHS Zones to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the provincial Action Plan to Promote Life and Prevent Suicide.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, or a related Graduate Degree in a clinical discipline.
- Registration with appropriate registration body, if applicable.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the Mental Health and Addictions field, with a focus on Health Promotion.
- Experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of suicide prevention/life promotion initiatives.
