Facilities Manager

Job Summary:
The York Region District School Board is seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our schools and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the maintenance and repair of school facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Manage and supervise a team of maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with board policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and develop plans to address them.
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as facilities management or a trade.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a facilities management role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
