Position Summary

As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to residents/patients within our facilities. Reporting to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, or Registered Psychiatric Nurses, you will assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in individual care plans. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, ensuring the well-being and comfort of those under your care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents/patients with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Provide assistance with meals, feeding, and hydration.
  • Engage in activities that promote physical and cognitive well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents/patients.
  • Communicate effectively with residents/patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Document care provided accurately and thoroughly.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in both English and French is essential.
  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Demonstrated experience providing compassionate patient care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
