Job Overview

The Manager, Field Marketing, PLK, Canada will play a critical role in driving sales, traffic, and profitability for our POPEYES franchisees in Canada. This position will be responsible for planning and executing effective regional marketing plans, supporting national marketing campaigns, and launching digital sales platforms across Canada. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Marketing and will be evaluated on their ability to achieve community program execution, brand measurements, and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the POPEYES Canada regional field team and franchisees to ensure successful execution of brand programs, including new product and promotion rollouts.
  2. Own the onboarding and execution of digital sales channels within the division, including third-party delivery, mobile app ordering, kiosks, and exterior digital menu boards.
  3. Facilitate accurate and timely communication of brand marketing programs, systems, and procedures to franchisees.
  4. Pitch and sell-in local market tests to franchisees and manage their execution.
  5. Analyze promotions, marketing programs, and new product introductions to measure their success and inform local sales, traffic, and profitability strategies.
  6. Make data-driven recommendations to influence franchisee sales and profitability across all product and sales channel categories.
  7. Provide reporting and business/trend analysis to support performance analytics and profit-maximizing decisions.
  8. Contribute to franchisees', regional team's, and the brand's understanding of regional and individual restaurant sales and traffic-driving tactics.
  9. Perform regular restaurant visits to audit merchandising execution and build relationships with franchise partners.
  10. Communicate and negotiate with external partners on community programs, events, and sponsorships.
  11. Serve as a key field-based brand marketing consultant, tracking marketing and competitive developments as a market-specific expert.
  12. Assist all departments as needed to inform market strategy and drive business objectives.
  13. Support new product launches and track results against a clear measurement framework.
  14. Assist with sales building for new locations and/or recently renovated locations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience (either brand or agency).
  • Bonus if experience includes QSR, franchise modeled business.
  • Excellent organization skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, and influencing ability to maintain and grow productive relationships with franchisees.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, including formal presentations.
  • Ability to interface and maintain excellent professional relationships with a variety of audiences.
  • High level of problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Honesty, high integrity, personal accountability, ownership, and a passion for the success of the brand, the team, and personal career growth.
  • Ability to travel frequently for in-person restaurant and franchisee visits.
