Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafeteria, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and supervising a team of food service staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and timely information to management.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, management, and customers, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Work Setting: Cafeteria, food service establishment, on-site customer service, and catering firm.
  • Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and efficient interpersonal skills.
Work Conditions:

37.5 hours per week, permanent position, and English as the primary language of work.
